ChiSeries reading at McNally Robinson


ChiSeries Winnipeg is BACK this October for more chills and thrills! Featuring three talented Manitoba writers, and hosted by local salt-of-the-earth Chadwick Ginther.

The event will take place at 7:30 PM in the Travel Alcove at McNally Robinson Booksellers. The ChiSeries is a non-profit speculative fiction reading series, which runs on grants and donations. All readers are paid to appear through your kindness and patronage of the arts!


Evan Braun has written three novels in his completed Watchers Chronicle—The Book of Creation, The City of Darkness, and The Law of Radiance—and has several new science fiction novels on the way. Over the last ten years, he has worked with hundreds of authors as a freelance editor. He also serves as managing editor for his local newspaper, the Niverville Citizen, and has been a regular contributor for The Fictorians, a popular writing blog, for four years. He lives in Niverville, Manitoba.

Daria Patrie lives and writes in Winnipeg where she works at her job in technical support to pay for her writing addiction. She has a creative MA in English from the University of Manitoba and frequently murders her cat in fiction.

Christine Steendam is the award-winning author of the Foremost Chronicles and the Ocean Series. She also flirts with sci-fi and comic book writing and is a yearly participant in NaNoWriMo. Christine makes her home in Manitoba, Canada on a sprawling 15 acre ranch with her husband, two young sons, and a brood of animals.
