Screenshot_2015-01-13-11-45-09Balancing time is tough. I see something that needs to be done, and I obsess over it. I will work day and night until it is done. This is great for accomplishing things, but not so great when it comes to the truly important things in life, like family and friends. And the thing is, no matter what needs to be done, careers come and go, projects will still be there tomorrow, but family and friends, relationships with people are what you truly need to nurture.

This balancing act of family and career is tough for me. I'm an all or nothing kind of person. I always walk that line, teetering one way or the other, never quite falling off but never perfectly centered either.

I'm going to make a conscious effort to shut down the author side of me at the end of the day, though. My to-do list will still be there in the morning.
