There are 3 levels to the award process. The first is that the book has to be highly rated by the staff reviewers of Ind'Tale magazine (http://indtale.com/). Unforgiving Plains garnered a 4 star review, allowing it to proceed to the second round: public voting.
This week ONLY the novella category is open for voting (March 31-April 6). If you have a minute or two, I'd really appreciate it if you could send your vote in. You can do so 2 ways.
1. If you are an Ind'Tale subscriber you can just head on over to the website and cast your vote there. http://www.indtale.com/2014-rone-awards-week-four
You'll find Unforgiving Plains in the Novella category.
2. If you aren't a subscriber, don't worry. You can send your vote in too by sending an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line: Voting. In the body of the email put the category: Novella, name of the book: Unforgiving Plains, and author: Christine Steendam.
The books with the most votes go on to the third round where they get judged by industry professionals and they choose who receives the award in each category. The award announcement will be in July.
Thanks in advance for your help. Just being nominated is an incredible honor but making it to round 3 would be absolutely amazing.
Feel free to pass this on to friends and family, share it on FB, Twitter. Let people know you voted...etc... :) .
