It's hard to write reviews when you finished a book ages ago! Anyway... my thoughts on Wanted: Dead or Undead... This is an interesting story. Zombies kind of took over the entertainment world for a while there. Books, movies, video games... everything you could think of. I'm kinda zombied out myself, but I picked up this book because #1... it's also a western and that's pretty cool. #2 It's a YA and I'm always looking for YA books that actually fit the YA age group.
Wanted: Dead or Undead is a great YA novel. It brings in romance, action and adventure without getting too romantic or too gory. It deals with adult problems but in a way that young adults can comprehend.
Being zombies there are some definite scary moments, but the book focuses a lot on the characters and not as much on the zombies. They are part of the landscape, the scenery, and not the story itself.
The western aspect of the story was definitely a refreshing and interesting concept. I personally loved it. Red is a rough and tough female lead that carries secrets. Cowboy, well, you can't help but fall in love with him ;)
I'm giving Wanted: Dead or Undead 5 out of 5 stars.

Trace Monroe doesn't believe in luck. He never has. But when a fiery-headed cowgirl saunters through the saloon doors, wielding shotguns and a know-how for killing the living dead, he believes he just may be the luckiest man alive.
Trace wants to join Red's posse, but she prefers to work alone--less messy that way. In order to become her traveling companion, Trace has to agree to her terms: no names, no questions, and if he gets bit, he can't beg for mercy when she severs his brain stem.
He agrees, knowing only that Red is the sharpest shooter he's ever encountered. The fact she's stunning hasn't escaped his attention either.
What he doesn't know, is that Red has a very good reason to be on top of her game. She not only has the answer for how they can all outlive the plague taking over the wild, wild west, she IS the answer.
