Catching Up

So I realize I haven't blogged since March! My last post left you with news on my son's birth and that my husband had encouraged me to hire an editor for Heart Like the Ocean. Well, lots has changed.

We've sold our house, moved in with the in-laws, and are currently building our next house. I'll try and keep you updated on all that with some pictures and another blog post. :)

My son is now 8 months old! He is crawling around, causing trouble. He's eating food and his favorite thing to yell is "yeah!"

Heart Like the Ocean is currently in submission. I'm hoping I'll have an announcement to make soon but as of right now you will all just have to wait.

I am working as a receptionist part time right now. Not exactly what I'd call a dream job but everything comes with time.

Also, school has started and I've taken on two college courses this fall/winter semester. I'm hoping that I'll be able to finish off my Creative Writing Certificate this Winter/Spring semester.

I've been concentrating a lot on my writing education lately. Above and beyond my college courses I've also been attending Matt Wallace's The Loose Cannon(TLC) writing workshops twice a month. They have been both fun and painful (for my ego) and worth every penny. I believe I did a blog post on one of the first sessions I attended but I'm hoping to follow that up with more posts.

If you're interested in attending a workshop contact Matt for more info.

If you don't already follow me on facebook, I have a fan page and that's the best place to get updates or just converse. I'm not so good at the twitter thing. haha
